Scarzello Langhe Nebbiolo

Scarzello Giorgio e Figli is a family run estate in the historic Barolo commune of Piedmont, now in its third generation under Federico Scarzello, who took over in 2001. The Scarzellos farm parcels in renowned crus such as Sarmassa and Terlo, working with a traditional, low intervention approach in both vineyard and cellar to preserve the purity of the Langhe terroir.

Made from 100% Nebbiolo grown on clay and marl soils, the grapes are hand harvested and fermented in stainless steel before ageing in large oak for several months, allowing the wine to complete its malolactic fermentation naturally. Expect an intense ruby colour with garnet highlights, bright red fruit, fine tannins and a long, elegant finish. A classic introduction to Nebbiolo, approachable young but well suited to the table.
