Founded in 1671 in the heart of Alto Piemonte, Tenute Sella is one of Italy's oldest wine estates, with the Sella family tending vineyards in Lessona for over three centuries. Today, Fabrizio Sella continues this legacy, crafting elegant, age-worthy Nebbiolo based wines from the volcanic soils of Northern Piedmont.

Their 'Orbello' is a vibrant expression of Nebbiolo, sourced from younger vines in Villa del Bosco, Brusnengo, and Lessona. Following a classic ten day maceration in steel tanks, the wine ages for 12 months in Slavonian oak botti before a further six months refining in bottle. The result is a bright ruby red wine with an attractive nose of mixed red fruits and delicate spice, leading to a soft, crunchy palate with fine tannins and a fresh, mineral driven finish. An approachable yet refined introduction to the wines of Alto Piemonte.
