Thierry Navarre Le Laouzil St Chinian

Thierry Navarre represents the third generation of winemakers at his family estate in Roquebrun, in the Saint-Chinian appellation of Languedoc. He farms organically on the area's distinctive schist soils, working with local grape varieties and a hands off approach in the cellar to let the terroir speak for itself.

Le Laouzil, meaning "little schist stones" in Occitan, blends Grenache, Carignan, Syrah and Cinsault grown on Roquebrun's steep, mineral rich slopes. Lightly sulphured at bottling, the wine shows dark fruit, garrigue and a peppery, spiced lift, with a juicy palate and real minerality. Supple and approachable, it pairs well with roast meats, game or simple grilled dishes.
