Hervé Villemade Cheverny Blanc Montcrochet

Hervé Villemade farms organically in Cellettes in the Loire Valley, having converted the estate to organic viticulture in 2000 after discovering the wines of natural wine pioneers Marcel Lapierre and Thierry Puzelat. He works with native yeasts and minimal intervention, fermenting many of his cuvées in traditional Georgian qvevri alongside amphorae and old barrels.

This Cheverny Blanc is a blend of Sauvignon Blanc, Sauvignon Gris, Chardonnay and Menu Pineau, named after the Montcrochet vineyard plot, grown across sand, flint and clay soils. Expect white flowers, citrus and stone fruit, with a bold, juicy texture and real precision. A distinctive, food friendly white built for the table.
