DB Schmitt Riesling

The Schmitt estate in Rheinhessen has been in the same family for over 230 years, with Bianka and Daniel farming its 16 hectares biodynamically for the past decade and counting among the very small number of Demeter‑certified growers in Germany.

Their skin‑contact Riesling shows the tell‑tale rose‑petal perfume, with tannin and acidity playing off each other in a really dynamic way, the fruit moving from ripe citrus into more apple and orchard notes as it opens in the glass.
