Benito Ferrara has been growing grapes in San Paolo di Tufo, in Campania's Irpinia region, since the 1880s, now run by the fourth and fifth generations of the same family. The vines are farmed organically on steep volcanic slopes rich in sulphur and minerals, considered some of the finest terroir in Italy for the native Greco grape.
Terra d'Uva is made entirely from Greco, sourced from the estate's younger vines across several parcels near the village of Tufo, fermented in stainless steel to preserve the grape's natural freshness. Expect citrus, orchard fruit and a distinctive mineral, almond tinged finish. A brilliant, food friendly introduction to one of southern Italy's great white wines.
