Antica Enotria Vriccio Primitivo
Antica Enotria Vriccio Primitivo
Antica Enotria was founded in 1993 by Raffaele di Tuccio and his wife Addolorata, on a 40 hectare farm near Cerignola in Puglia, now run alongside their son Luigi. Around 12 hectares are given to vines, Primitivo, Nero di Troia and Negroamaro, farmed organically alongside a range of organic vegetables, with no synthetic products used across the estate.
Vriccio is made from 100% Primitivo, gently pressed with a short maceration, then fermented and aged in steel to keep the fruit fresh and bright. Expect a classic bouquet of dried plum, blackberry and liquorice, with soft, well integrated tannins and a long finish of red berry fruit. An easy, generous red for grilled meats, tomato based pasta or a simple bean stew.
