In the 1970s, Alejandro Fernández and his wife Esperanza revived a 16th-century winery in Ribera del Duero, determined to restore the region’s winemaking heritage. Their vision produced Tinto Pesquera, hailed as Spain’s answer to Pétrus, and put Ribera del Duero on the global wine map.
Crafted in a resolutely traditional style, these Tempranillo-based wines remain the benchmark for the region: powerful yet refined, with layers of dark fruit, spice, and earthy complexity. A testament to one couple’s belief in their land.
