Produced at Nikka’s Yoichi Distillery in Hokkaido, this single malt is crafted using traditional Scottish methods. Founded by Masataka Taketsuru in 1934, the distillery employs direct coal-fired pot stills, imparting a bold, smoky character. The whisky features refined peat notes, smokiness, and a briny hint from the sea breeze during maturation. It offers a rich profile with candied citrus, black liquorice, and spices, complemented by a long, mature finish.
