Produced at Nikka’s Miyagikyo Distillery in Miyagi Prefecture, this single malt is crafted using less peated malt and indirect steam-heated pot stills. Founded by Masataka Taketsuru in 1969, the distillery emphasises elegance and fruitiness. The whisky features notes of orchard fruits, floral tones, and subtle maltiness, with a gentle texture and a hint of sherry cask influence.
