Produced by Michter’s Distillery in Kentucky, this unique expression revives a legacy dating to 1750s Pennsylvania. Crafted from a non-traditional mash bill (50% corn, 38% rye, 12% malted barley), it undergoes pot still distillation and ageing in fire-charred American oak. The sour mash process, reusing a portion of prior fermentation, ensures consistency. It balances sweet honeyed vanilla, candied cherries, and smoky fruit with spicy cinnamon and black pepper. Recognized as the 2019 “Whisky of the Year,” it honours historic craftsmanship while offering versatility for sipping or cocktails.
