Glenelly Estate Lady May

£50.00

Description

In 2003, May de Lencquesaing, then 78 and owner of Pauillac’s famed Château Pichon Longueville Comtesse de Lalande, acquired this historic property, part of Simon van der Stel’s original 1682 land grant. True to her vision, Glenelly now produces world-class wines of remarkable balance.
The Lady May 2017, a Cabernet Sauvignon-led blend, opens with captivating aromas of cassis, violets and graphite, subtly framed by cedar notes. On the palate, concentrated black fruit flavours unfold with polished, fine-grained tannins and a sophisticated espresso nuance. This powerful yet elegantly structured wine demonstrates exceptional aging potential, embodying the Bordeaux-inspired finesse that defines Glenelly’s Stellenbosch terroir.
