Description
Winemaking has flourished at Château du Coing de St Fiacre since the 15th century, though its viticultural history extends to Roman times. The Chéreau-Carré family has stewarded this estate at the Massif Armoricain foothills since 1973. Their impressive 40-hectare property boasts over 25 ha of 80+ year-old vines, currently transitioning to organic certification. What truly distinguishes these wines is their remarkable terroir, volcanic gabbro rock beneath a 40cm clay layer. This distinctive soil imparts a compelling minerality and characteristic lemony profile to these wines, creating a pure expression of their ancient origins.
